The business tourism segment, undoubtedly, is one of the most profitable in the tourism industry in Argentina, since from the total number of registered events, 4,021 correspond to congresses and conventions and generated a movement of more than 1.7 million tourists (a total of 607.182,20 USD); 504 fairs and exhibitions with a movement of more than 3.7 million tourists and a total expenditure of 556.104,68 USD; 127 international sporting events with a movement of more than a million tourists and an expenditure of 289.148,24 USD;and 219 incentive trips. "It is the second country with more events in Latin America and the city of Buenos Aires ranks first in America since 2009," noted the Vice President of the Argentina Chamber of Tourism (CAT), Fernando Gorbaranregarding the positioning of Argentina as the number 18 in the ICCA ranking.
