Exodus Online Services Blog Downloading your Google content with Google Takeout

Due to Google discontinuing all Google Apps for ISPs customers, I am learning a lot of ways to help my clients deal with this. One of the ways is using Google Takeout. With it, you can download all of your Google data, including: Google+ +1s 3D Warehouse Bookmarks Calendar Drive Google Photos Google Play Books Google+ Circles Google+ Pages Google+ Stream Groups Hangouts Keep Location History Maps (your places) Messenger data My Maps Progile Tasks Voice YouTube (all data, including videos) And of course, Mail You can get to this tool by going to Google Takeout and logging in to get started. Note that when I did this, I had a number of YouTube videos that were several gigabytes worth of data, so how long it takes may vary. Also, depending on how much email you have, it could take awhile to assemble that data. They will email you when your archive is ready for download, so you don't have to leave the page open. Files are downloaded in zip format (I had 3 of them without mail) which you can uncompress and use from your computer. Mail files are loaded in mbox format, which most email clients can import. This may be much easier than going the POP3 route.
