Ferman Nissan of Tampa Blog Is There a New Juke-R on the Horizon?

Several years ago, Nissan teamed up with motorsports tuner RML to create whatMotor Trend describes as "an experiment in engineering." That, of course, was theoriginal and limited production Juke-R. Now, the vehicle is back in 2.0 concept-mode,and is powered by the GT-R's 600 pony-producing twin-turbo V-6 engine. (1)Recently UnveiledDuring last month's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the U.K., the Japanese automakertook the opportunity to revealed a new version (1) of its six-figure (2) "experiment,"which it aptly named the Nissan Juke-R 2.0 concept. (1) This particular modelincorporates a bunch of upgrades, making it even more powerful than its predecessor-- a vehicle that was considered to be the world's first crossover supercar - based onnews from Autoblog. (3)PowerThe new engine is probably the car's most noteworthy update and here's why: (3) it'sequipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 that was borrowed from the NissanGT-R Nismo. (1) Paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine replacesthe previously used 545-horsepower version in order to produce a whopping 600ponies in the latest Juke-R edition. (3)Performance specifications are yet to be released, but since the original supercrossoverwas able to reach a top speed of 160 miles per hour and hit the 60 mphmarker in 3.7 seconds, we imagine the numbers will be even better for the 2.0concept. (2)StyleAppearance-wise, the automaker's crossover is based on the updated Juke, which waslaunched just last year, and is available at Ferman Nissan of Tampa Bay as a 2015model. (3) The vehicle benefits from a sleeker and more aggressive look (2) with itsrevised V-motion grille, new LED running lights and LED taillights, as well as turn signals(1) and newly-styled flared fenders, side sills and cooling ducts. (2)You'll also find some lightweight materials (in the form of carbon fiber) on Nissan'snew concept, which can be spotted on the front and rear bumpers, the diffuser, (1)wheel arches, side sills and so on. What's more, they're all coated in matte black. (3)ConclusionNo word yet on a production model. However, much like the Juke-R 2.0, MotorAuthority says the original was also a concept, and it was eventually produced inlimited quantities and sold to the wealthy. Let's see what the new version has in storefor us. (2)Stay tuned for more details via Ferman Nissan of Tampa, Florida!
