Ferman Nissan of Tampa Blog Nissan Expected to Release MY15 GT-R in Australia

Based on news from Nissan, the brand's Australian division will receive an upgraded MY15 GT-R range that will include an eye-catching, Silica Brass 45th Anniversary Gold Edition model. (1)The adrenaline-inducing GT-R, available at Ferman Nissan as a 2015 model, comes available in Premium, Black Edition and Nismo trims. (2) The model names are slightly different in Australia, however, both markets receive the special anniversary version of the popular performance-ready GT-R supercar, which joins the lineup in celebration of the vehicle's 45 years (or so) of existence. (1)Nissan's special Gold Edition was revealed last month and is offered in limited availability in the U.S., which will likely be the case in Australia as well. (3) Prior to the release of the new model, the carmaker only created two "golden" R35 vehicles: one for Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, and the second - a copy - was auctioned off for charity. (1)Australians can expect the GT-R collector's item to include unique interior features and a special model plate in the engine bay. As for under-the-hood upgrades, the GT-R improves on comfort, cornering stability and road noise (among other details), and all MY15 versions (1) feature a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine pushing the equivalent of 545 horsepower and 463 pound-feet of torque in the U.S. (2) When properly equipped, the GT-R can do an impressive zero-to-100 kilometers-per-hour sprint in just 2.7 seconds, according to Motoring.
