Hurricane Irma has decimated the Florida Keys, our Florida Keys Hot Sauce Company business model and our home. It is a very sad situation for all residents and businesses in the Florida Keys. As we primarily rely on direct orders from local restaurants, fine dining and tourist shops to distribute our hot sauces to Customers, unfortunately, our Hot Sauce sales will be reduced to online orders only until the Florida Keys infrastructure is rebuilt and open to the public.We are doing our best to keep the Hot Sauce flowing but are dealing with limited power, cell phone service, connectivity, and water. We have come up with some work-arounds, but it will introduce some delays where it could be a couple weeks before online orders are received. Also, because limited shipping is available in the Florida Keys, we have temporarily eliminated Priority and Next Day delivery options. However, we will do our best to get your sauces to you as fast as we can.Further, we have had to temporarily raise our prices by a couple bucks per bottle just to remain operational and it will still be a long while before we recover from the Irma hit into profitability. Also, the specialty gift set which include crates, which we manually brand and pack, have all been destroyed. It is going to take a while to get those crates ready to deliver since postal service, palette delivery and shipments are also at the mercy of infrastructure restoration. So if you want your hot sauce in the next couple weeks - DO NOT ORDER gift sets, because it could take a couple months. Having said that, you can still order gifts and we will get them out on a 'first come, first served' basis.Lastly, I would like to thank all our loyal customers, Florida Keys Hot Sauce addicts and many new customers for your patience as we work through the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. With any luck, the Florida Keys Hot Sauce Company will survive this Cat 5 Hurricane.
