Some weeks back, the media reported on President Obama's lament following a mass murder at a community college in Oregon. He was quoted as saying: "Somehow, this has become routine. The reporting is routine. My response here at this podium ends up being routine. We become numb to this."For far too many years now, I cannot recall one single day going by that I did not read or hear about some act of gun violence occurring somewhere in our country. Another victim, another loved one lost, another community in fear and asking - no pleading - for answers.
