Fresh Prep: Fresh Prep acquires fellow Vancouver food delivery startup Peko

Fresh Prep says deal will help the sustainable meal kit company tackle food waste. Vancouver-based sustainable meal kit delivery startup Fresh Prep has acquired Peko to further its goal of reducing food waste. Le believes Fresh Prep's operational scale will help accelerate the growth of Peko's business. For every Peko box sold going forward, $1 will be donated to local food recovery charities the Food Stash Foundation and Vancouver Food Runners. Following in the footsteps of its new parent company, Peko plans to obtain B Corp certification.
