Escaped the heat in Phoenix, AZ to spend 5 days/ 4 nights backpacking through 43 miles of the remote Kanab Creek Wilderness, located just NW of the Grand Canyon National Park. We traveled down Kwagunt Hollow, Upper and Lower JumpUp, to Kanab Creek, then up Sowats Canyon and returned via the JumpUp-Naile Trail. This is travelling off the beaten track, with photographic challenges far different from my "normal" world of corporate photography and commercial portraiture back in "civilization" !
