It's Absurd How Much Water Can Get Trapped Inside A Car!Apparently there are a lot of first-generation Volkswagen Touareg owners that have been noticing sloshing noises while driving their SUVs, only to find A LOT of water stuck in their rocker panels. Just watch how much this owner drains from his car's side sills. It seems that these vehicles, and those built on the same, or similar, platforms like the Audi Q7 or Porsche Cayenne for example, have a tendency to act as giant water storage tanks after years of driving in rain and through puddles. Fortunately for owners, the common solution is as easy as it gets. Simply pull up onto a slight incline and pull a plug or two from the rockers to let the water drain. Another preemptive measure you can take to slow the collection of water would be to periodically check your car for things like leaves and other debris that may be collecting and blocking the water from draining properly. Nonetheless, you'll probably be amazed at how much extra cargo you've been lugging around by the looks of this video. Now, obviously, the Q7, Touareg and Cayenne aren't the only cars with a tendency to trap water. Pretty much any car can get clogged up and succumb to this problem. So while it's not surprising that a car's drainage system can clog up, it's still amazing to see owners drain so much water out of their rocker panels.
