Gw Communications: GW Communications to Open Paragould Office, Employ 28

GW Communications of Coppell, Texas, a company that provides services to the telecommunications and cable industries, said Thursday that it will open a new office in Paragould and employ 28.The company is moving into an existing building at 1707 Linwood Drive. Arkansas Economic Development Commission Executive Director Mike Preston joined company executives and local leaders for the announcement."The fact GW Communications chose to locate this new office in Paragould reflects the strength and reputation of the area workforce," Preston said in a news release. "Arkansas continues to grow a reputation as a hub for data and telecommunications companies thanks to companies like GW Communications."Founded in 2005, GW Communications' clients include Windstream Holdings Inc. of Little Rock, AT&T, Verizon, CenturyLink and Charter.The company said the new Paragould jobs include CAD drafting and computer operator positions. GW Communications has offices in Kansas City, Kansas; Austin, Texas; San Jacinto, California; Houston; Lubbock, Texas; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
