Harvest Technologies: Harvest Technologies Acquired By Stratasys For 3D Prototyping

Belton, Texas-based Harvest Technologies, a provider of 3D prototyping and manufacturing services, has been acquired by Minneapolis-based 3D printing company Stratasys Ltd.. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Harvest Technologies provides laser sintering (LS/SLS), direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), fused deposition modeling (FDM), and stereolithography (SL/SLA) services, all of which are used to prototype metal and other parts for manufacturers. Stratasys said it will combine the company along with another, acquired company--Solid Concepts--with an existing business, RedEye. Harvest Technologies was founded in 1995.
