The month of April is a month of transition and I am reminded of my study in high school of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales:
“Whan that Aprille with his shoures soote,
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licóur
Of which vertú engendred is the flour……………
This poem predicts change and the approach of Spring with all that that brings in the natural world for outdoor activities and the end of winter hibernation. This is my favourite time of year. It is a time for planting, whether that be the physical stuff that we do in a garden or the generation of new ideas. It can also relate to Spring cleaning when the modus operandi is “out with the old and in with the new.”
Anyway, for those whom I have not yet seen, I am back at the clinic after a rejuvenating rest in Mexico and will look forward to seeing you.
