Heatron: Global company picks up local manufacturer

NIBE Industrier AB, a global sustainable energy company based in Sweden, acquired Leavenworth-based Heatron Inc. for an undisclosed amount. Founded in 1984, Heatron is a manufacturer of specialty heating elements, sub-assemblies and LED components. It has 240 employees at facilities here and in Erie, Pa., with annual sales of about $30 million and an operating margin above 10 percent.
