New York state officials have approved a project to grow an Alzheimer's dementia unit at a Jamestown nursing home. Heritage Ministries will create a new secure unit at Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing, its 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Gerry. The state Department of Health issued an approval letter for the project on May 8.
