Hopdoddy Burger Bar: Hopdoddy to buy another Texas-based burger chain

Two Texas-based burger chains are joining forces to become more accessible to customers across the nation. Austin-based Hopdoddy Burger Bar Inc. announced Jan. 13 plans to buy Bryan-based Grub Burger Bar and put both companies under the umbrella of the newly formed HiBar Hospitality Group, backed by private equity firm L Catterton and led by Hopdoddy CEO Jeff Chandler.
