Horizon Solar Power: Former Oakland solar company Sungevity to rebrand, merge in new deal with Horizon Solar

Troubled Oakland solar company Sungevity, now dubbed Solar Spectrum, said Tuesday that is has merged with another California solar giant, Horizon Solar Power, to create the state's second-largest residential solar company. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Sungevity's $50 million sale to private equity firm Northern Pacific Group post-bankruptcy was approved by a Delaware judge in April.
