HSE: Huntington to acquire Chicago securities firm

Huntington Bancshares Inc. plans to acquire Chicago-based securities firm Hutchinson, Shockey & Erley Co., a public finance investment bank and broker dealer, and one of the largest securities forms focused exclusively on municipal securities. The bank announced Friday that it has signed an agreement to make the purchase. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
