Shark Infested Water!The Lake Monticello Swim Team kicked off their 20th straight year of being part of the Jefferson Swim League this past Wednesday night by hosting the first meet of the season! The first meet of the season is always dedicated to Jonny Besecker, a lifeguard who passed away in 2005. The night started out with a very heartwarming speech by Lila Cabellero, honoring Jonny and his character and dedication to the Lake Monticello Pool. The Sharks went head to head against Forest Lakes Swim Team and everyone swam very well. Forest Lakes is a very large team in a higher division than the Sharks, so it was an awesome challenge. The Sharks gave it their all and had a great first meet! It is now officially summer!
