River Rats, errrrr..... Dogs!Whether it be shelter dogs or housepets, I have always enjoyed photographing animals! So when Service Dogs of Virginia contacted me to take their photos for this year's sponsorship brochures, I was more than excited to take the job! The non-profit organization fosters and trains the puppies until they are ready to become service animals for people with conditions such as diabetes, autism and other disabilities. This years puppies have names associated with boats and water, so it was only appropriate to do their pictures at the Rivanna River! I have never seen so many puppies swimming in one place at one time! I ended up chest-deep in the water with puppies romping all around me! It was an awesome time and I'm extremely happy with the results! Thanks for all you do, Service Dogs of Virginia and thanks for a great evening on the river!
