J.H. Whitney & Co. is selling its portfolio company, C.J. Foods, a maker of premium pet foods. According to PE Hub, the New Canaan, Connecticut-based private equity firm hired investment bank Lazard Ltd. to advise the sale. The auction comes more than four years after Dallas-based private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners announced the sale of C.J. Foods to J.H. Whitney.
