J.W. Terrill: Chesterfield-based J.W. Terrill is acquired

J.W. Terrill, an insurance brokerage firm based in Chesterfield, has been acquired by White Plains, New York-based Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1972, J.W. Terrill, led by President and CEO Andy Thome, is the region's second-largest insurance brokerage according to Business Journal research, with $513.98 million in premium volume placed totally, and locally, in 2014.
