MumbaiReliance Communications has tied up with US-based Jasper, a global giant in implementation of internet of things (IoT) to enable enterprises across automotive, healthcare, security, smart cities and smart grids to launch manage and monetise next generation IoT businesses.The government has initiated several multi-billion dollar campaigns of digitising and securing the country. "The anchor clients will be Reliance Group companies such as Reliance Cement and Reliance Power, where test trials are going on for the last three months and it would later be taken to other enterprises and state governments with whom the talks are currently on. It would ensure huge return on investment along with providing efficiency, security and advanced mechanism to resolve existing challenges across sectors," said Bill Barney, CEO, Reliance Communications (enterprise) and Global Cloud Xchange.Based on a revenue sharing model, the partnership uses Reliance's 11 data centre facilities and its GCX platform with Jasper's global IoT services platform to facilitate the diverse array of projects under the government of India's 'Digital India' initiative.India is undergoing a massive transformation. Reliable networks, innovative cloud computing and scalable IoT platforms are critical to enabling this revolution.
