On Thursday, May 14th, Jay photographed Eskaton's 13th Annual Gala for the fifth year. Jay donates his time and provides a family photo package for the raffle. The Gala is a fundraiser for the Eskaton Foundation which supports Eskaton's Community Programs which includes the Senior Connection, TLC Telephone Reassurance Program, Adult Day Health Care, and Affordable Housing for Seniors. This is an important fundraiser that deserves attention as trying and uncertain ecomomic times stress all, including the aging.The mission of the Eskaton Foundation is to enhance Eskaton's ability to provide accessible, innovative services for seniors by nurturing a philanthropic environment that fosters volunteer involvement, donor relations and stewardship.Over 14,000 seniors and their families were served by Eskaton in 2006. More than half of these individuals have limited incomes. Your support enables Eskaton to:Expand and augment community service programs:The Senior Connection: Free information, assistance and community education for older adults and caregivers.The TLC Telephone Reassurance Program: Daily phone calls to over 500 isolated older adults. Free to individuals over 60 regardless of income. Enhance the affordability of existing programs and services by identifying supplemental funding sources.Explore new ways to provide services to seniors through innovative technology and implementation of new models of care.
