JFE Steel: JFE Steel & Mitsubishi to launch demonstration project in Japan

JFE Steel, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, and Mitsubishi Chemical have signed an MOU for a FY2026 demonstration project at Mizushima Complex to produce methanol from steel manufacturing by-product gases. This methanol will be used for propylene production, supporting carbon recycling and GHG reduction. The initiative fosters cross-industry collaboration to advance carbon neutrality and sustainability.
