Here it is, the finished ring! I'll give you a quick overview of the patina process that was used to darken the grooves and heighten the detail: The ring was heated with a torch and placed in a solution of Liver of Sulfur gel mixed with warm water. To achieve a dark patina, the ring sat in the mixture for a total of 30 minutes. Tutorials of the oxidation with Liver of Sulfur stated that jewelry will achieve a dark color in 2 minutes, but I felt it just wasn't dark enough, it was a gunmetal gray. So after 30 minutes, the ring was removed and placed in a solution of baking soda dissolved in water, to neutralize the chemical reaction. To get the areas in relief back to a lustrous silver, steel wool was used to remove unwanted patina. Then a cream silver polish was used to buff the ring back to a high shine, applied and polished with a cloth Dremel attachment.
