Kewpie: Pla-relay Project kicks off to boost plastic recycling in Japan

Six Japanese entities, including Kashima City and major corporations, launched the 'Pla-relay Project' to promote closed-loop recycling of plastic packaging in Ibaraki. The pilot will chemically recycle salad dressing bottle caps, involving schools and industry players. Findings will be compiled into a report by 2026, aiming to establish a sustainable local recycling framework.
