Smoke on the River BBQ Fest
Roll summer into fall the right way with barbecue and music on the Ohio River. Bands start Friday at 5 and play all Labor Day weekend long. Music starts at noon Saturday and Sunday. The best pitmasters from Cincinnati and beyond will be there providing brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and more. You'll find plenty of carnival favorites like funnel cakes, ribbon fries, and cotton candy.
Join the party at Newport's Festival Park, 1 Levee Way, Newport, Kentucky.
Oktoberfest Zinzinnati
After a tough 2020, the largest Oktoberfest celebration in the US returns September 17-19. Live bands from Germany and all over will be back, along with all the record-breaking mayhem of Oktoberfest the Cincinnati way. Perhaps we can break our own world Chicken Dance record of over 48,000 participants, set in 1994. The event typically consumes over a hundred thousand sausages, nearly two tons of sauerkraut, and 700 pigtails. This menu will feature bacon wrapped goetta bites, Bavarian cream puffs, and the Superbrat. Be ready for lots of dancing and contests such as stein hoisting, yodeling, and brat tossing.
Celebrate the season on 2nd and 3rd Streets between Walnut and Elm.
Salsa on the Square
Every Thursday from May to the end of November, find local Latin bands moving the crowd at Fountain Square. Dance instructors teach the willing Salsa, Merengue, Latin Jazz, and Cumbia. A hot night of dancing deserves a cold beverage, so Fountain Square Concessions offers margaritas, beer, wine, and full bar service. Mazunte Taqueria will be cooking up tacos, tostadas, and scratch-made guacamole. The party runs from 7 to 10.
Come dance at Fountain Square at the corner of Fifth and Vine Streets in Cincinnati.
FC Cincinnati Pre-Match at the Park
Every FC Cincinnati match this year will be preceded by a party for the whole family. You'll find a band, giveaways, and skills competitions for kids. Dine at the food trucks on Elm. Adults can enjoy a drink at the Porch beer garden. Dogs are welcome at the game and the pre-function.
The pre-game party is at Washington Park at 1230 Elm Street in Cincinnati. Click here or call (513) 977-5435 for tickets.

Arrive early because the Longworth fills up fast. The home season kicks off when the Bengals host the Vikings September 12. The game starts at 1p.m., but the grills start hours before. You can also dip into the Jungle Zone, which opens three hours before the game. Kids can enjoy DJs, food, face painting, obstacle courses, and other kid games.

Mount Healthy Farmers' Market
The event takes place on the grassy beer garden of Fibonacci Brewing Company, which hosts the event. Part of hosting includes refreshments, so you can sample their foundational and seasonal beers. The brewery also hosts live music. The market occurs every first Sunday of the month through November. You'll find organic produce, fresh eggs, and natural meats including lamb.
