Klein Financial: CalPERS joint venture partner Klein Financial seeks millions in countersuit over LA real estate deal

Palo Alto-based Klein Financial Corp. has filed a cross-complaint against the California Public Employees' Retirement System, which in January filed suit against Klein for withholding $38.3 million that CalPERS claims it's owed from real estate investments in Los Angeles under a partnership between CalPERS and Klein.
