Lancaster County Special Emergency Response Team (S.E.R.T.) is holding its annual "tactical golf" event on June 6th at the Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, PA. KPI Tactical, supporter of the Lancaster County S.E.R.T. Foundation, will once again serve as Marquis Sponsor of the event. The annual tournament combines golfing skills along with the special tactical skills of S.E.R.T. officers, allowing participants to get a taste of some of the skills and tactics the S.E.R.T. members employ in their services to the County.Proceeds for the event support continued training and equipment upgrades for Lancaster County S.E.R.T., which is comprised of a dedicated and special group of police officers, medical professionals and fire rescue personnel. Specialized training has been paramount for both the success and evolution of the unit. For a number of years, the team has competed and trained with some of the best special operation groups in the world.This is the third year KPI will serve as marquee sponsor. "It's important to us to provide philanthropic support locally and it's rewarding to know that our financial support allow S.E.R.T. members to continue to receive the specialized training that enhances their capabilities," reports KPI President and CEO Ren Baker. Some of this year's challenges will include the Sniper Challenge, the KIMS Memory Challenge, the Team Gear Challenge, the Breach and Bang Challenge and the Gas Mask Challenge. All tactical challenges will be incorporated into various holes throughout the golf competition. "The tactical twist to the tournament makes it both fun and challenging," reports Baker. "I think people who choose to join us for the day and show their support of S.E.R.T. will find it rewarding as well as fun."
