La Porte Hospital officials have unveiled plans for a new $125 million hospital on the site of the current downtown location. The project is expected to break ground early next year and open in 2020. Chief Executive Officer Ashley Dickinson says the new facility is a "major step forward" in a commitment to creating a thriving community hospital.
