APPLETON - Lamers Dairy , an Appleton-based dairy producer, received two first place awards at the World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product contest for its whole and chocolate milk. The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product contest honors outstanding achievements in the dairy industry across the globe. It recognizes 93 classes of dairy between categories like butter, milk, cheese and ice cream. Each entry is judged by a panel of dairy experts. This year, Lamers Dairy, N410 Speel School Road, received a 99.81 score in the Open Class Pasteurized Milk category for its whole white milk, earning it first place. Additionally, the dairy plant received a 99.88 score in the Low-fat Chocolate Milk category for its 1% low-fat chocolate milk. Lamers Dairy's whole milk and lowfat chocolate milk, which earned the dairy producers two first place awards at the 2024 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product contest. Lamers Dairy was the only Wisconsin-based brand in both categories, beating dairy processors in California, Iowa, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
