LatinWorks: Rauxa, DDB Worldwide Expand; Socialissima, Samara Launch

Norbi Zylberberg, a leading U.S. Hispanic creative director, is leaving Austin-based LatinWorks after 14 years to set up his own shop called Socialissima. He was SVP and group creative director at Omnicom-backed LatinWorks, which was named Ad Age's Multicultural Agency of the Year four times between 2009 and 2013, and appeared on Ad Age's A-List of the 10 best U.S. agencies in 2011 and again in 2014. Zylberberg describes Socialissima as "a fresh approach to the permanent shift in the U.S. multicultural landscape. It's somewhere between a traditional agency and crafty crowdsourcing." The name reflects the importance of sharing through social media. Operating out of a co-working space in Austin, Zylberberg plans to collaborate with different companies in the U.S. and Latin America to get the best people for each project. His first clients include Cerveza Calavera, a Mexican craft beer launching in the U.S. next year, and a non-U.S. discount airline.During his years at LatinWorks, he worked on brands including Mars' Snickers and Starburst, Domino's, Hyundai and Target, and help win general market accounts like Texas Lottery.
