Lia Honda Albany Blog Honda to Show Off Hydrogen FCEV at L.A. Auto Show

The L.A. Auto Show is coming up later this month, and Honda has some very exciting models and technologies to reveal to the world. One of these is a new fuel cell concept car, which has been hinted at in recent sketches released by the brand (like the one shown above). This new model will inform the next-generation Honda Clarity hydrogen vehicle.Honda plans to have the new vehicle hit production lines in the U.S. in 2015, though it will first only be sold in small numbers in California, due to the fact that a large-scale hydrogen fuel-cell infrastructure has yet to be built across the country.Toyota will also be debuting its new fuel cell car very soon, so Honda will have some competition in this market. The biggest obstacle for both of these companies, however, is expansion of fuel cell networks. California plans to spread ~30 hydrogen stations around its largest cities by the time these vehicles hit the market. The new Honda FCEV Concept is expected to have a range exceeding 300 miles, which is three or four times as high as current electric cars. The new vehicle will also have the ability to charge in less than five minutes- which is quite incredible compared to other electric vehicles. For more information about the vehicle following its official debut, be sure to stay tuned right here. In the meantime, feel free to drop by Lia Honda Albany NY and take your favorite current new Honda vehicle.
