Matthews Specialty Vehicles: Phoenix Motorcars partners to make electric shuttles, bookmobiles

Phoenix Motor Inc. said it's signed a memorandum of understanding with a North Carolina firm to jointly build specialty electric vehicles that can be used as bloodmobiles, bookmobiles or shuttles. The Anaheim, California-based electric vehicle (EV) maker said it's teaming with Matthews Specialty Vehicles Inc. of Greensboro, North Carolina, to build at least 50 specialty EVs over the next three years.
