The return of the Snack Wrap could be coming soon − though McDonald's still isn't spilling the exact date. McDonald's U.S. president Joe Erlinger confirmed on "Good Morning America" in December 2024 that the fan-favorite menu item would be making a comeback sometime in 2025. This week, the chain's social media accounts shared another clue to the wrap's official return date. "snack wraps 0x.14.2025," the official McDonald's account posted on X on April 15, teasing that the menu item would return on the 14th day of an unspecified month. Though, the "0x" indicates that it should be coming before October, in which the first digit would flip to a 1. A 'cult following' "The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025," Erlinger told "Good Morning America" in December 2024. "It has a cult following. I get so many emails into my inbox about this product." Erlinger declined to reveal when exactly the Snack Wrap would return for what he called "competitive reasons." In February 2025, CEO Christopher Kempczinski said there is "incredible energy" for the return of the Snack Wraps in the U.S. in discussing McDonald's plans and its fourth quarter financial performance with investment analysts. McDonald's did not immediately respond to a USA TODAY request for comment. What is a McDonald's Snack Wrap? The Snack Wrap first hit the McDonald's menu in 2006. Over the next decade, it would have "several different iterations," according to the Food Network , but its main ingredients were chicken breast meat (grilled or crispy), lettuce, cheese and sauce, in a soft flour tortilla. The item was discontinued 2016, but some restaurants continued to offer it until 2020 when it was taken off the menu to simplify McDonald's offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic, the outlet said. Snack Wrap fans on social media speculate about return date Fans of the Snack Wrap replied to McDonald's post speculating about which month the item would return to menus. "I'm betting on June," one user said, to which McDonald's replied "I cannot confirm or deny or confirm." Another user suggested the company bring the item back in June and call it the "Summer Snack Wrap." A third user commented "Finally it's been 5 long years since that glorious wrap has touched my taste buds." McDonald's replied with "soon friend soon."
