Menards: Watertown Menards hosting holiday toy drive for Toys for Tots

With the holidays coming up, Menards in Watertown will be hosting a toy drive again this year, collecting new and unwrapped presents for Toys for Tots. The box for shoppers to put the toys in is already available for people to drop off new toys when they visit the store. In-store items at Menards can also be purchased to donate. There aren't any limits on what the drive accepts, Watertown Menards General Manager Zach Hegge said, as long as the boxes are unopened. Holiday events in Watertown: From Santaland to Winter Wonderland, markets and more Last year, the Watertown group of Toys for Tots distributed more than 4,400 toys in the area, according to its website. The drive is a great way for the store and its employees, who also participate in the drive, to have an impact on the community, Hegge said. Carnegie Christmas Market: Codington County Museum hosts annual German Christmas Market "The biggest thing is obviously just the impact on the community as well, so everybody's kind of got an opportunity to be able to have (an impact), and for all of us to be able to come together," he said. The Watertown Menards will house the drop-off box until Dec. 13, Hegge said, and it will also host an "Enchanted Forest" with trees, lights and other holiday décor for families to visit.
