American restaurant chain Metro Diner has introduced a new limited-time offer (LTO) featuring s'mores [warm marshmallow between two cookies]-inspired seasonal pancakes, waffles and bread pudding flavours. The company has invited individuals with the surname Moore to enjoy these new dishes free of charge for one day only. To redeem the dine-in-only offer, guests with the last name Moore must show a valid ID at any Metro Diner location on 18 June 2024. The s'mores dishes are served all day and made with chocolate-infused batter. They are topped with chocolate syrup, marshmallow cream, Golden Grahams cereal, chocolate chips and powdered sugar. Metro Diner president and chief operating officer Stanley Goodman said: "Nothing says summer quite like s'mores, and we wanted to have a little fun with this new flavour - starting with the Moores in our community!" In 2023, Metro Diner launched a meal deal, known as the Summer of Waffles (SoW). The restaurant brand offered savoury and sweet breakfast items for the five weeks leading up to National Fried Chicken and Waffle Day on 8 August 2023. The restaurant created National Fried Chicken and Waffle Day in 2018 to honour the brand's signature dish.
