A cooperative whose members operate nearly 700 retail stores has purchased a former Toys 'R' Us distribution center in Lee's Summit. Mid-States Distributing LLC bought the 725,769-square-foot center in a bankruptcy auction. The Minnesota-based cooperative plans to hire 30 to 35 within the next month to launch the facility, according to a release.
