CF Industries, JERA, and Mitsui have formed a joint venture to build a $4 billion low-carbon ammonia plant at CF's Blue Point Complex in Louisiana. With a 1.4 million MT annual capacity, it will be the world's largest. CF will operate the facility, while 1PointFive will sequester ~2.3 million MT of CO₂ annually. Production starts in 2029; tax credits under 45Q are expected.
