MongoDB: Sachin Chawla to lead MongoDB in India and Asean

Joined MongoDB in February 2022 to lead the India business Has 20+ years' experience in sales, including roles at AWS and BMC Software MongoDB, the leading database for modern applications, has announced that Sachin Chawla (pic) will take on a new leadership role to drive growth and customer value across both the Indian and Asean markets. With more than 20 years of sales experience, including leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and BMC Software, Sachin joined MongoDB in February 2022 to lead the India business. Since then, he has played a key role in driving strong growth in the region, working with customers such as Tata Digital, Canara HSBC, Zepto, Zomato, and Intellect AI. As part of his expanded role, Sachin will relocate to Singapore. MongoDB India has seen a 70% increase in headcount over the past three years, alongside several initiatives - including a nationwide effort to deliver vital data and AI skills to more than 500,000 students. As the world's leading modern document database provider, MongoDB already has a solid presence across Asean. In addition to a large and active developer community, its growing list of regional customers includes Grab, Dkatalis, M-DAQ, and Aktivo Labs. MongoDB recently expanded the availability of MongoDB Atlas in Southeast Asia, launching support on AWS regions in Malaysia and Thailand. The move follows significant momentum in the region, where headcount has grown by over 200% in the past two years.
