Mono Machines LLC Blog Delivering Cheer With Cheeriodicals at EPIC 2016!

Spreading Some Much Needed Cheer During the 2016 EPIC Conference, TriMega's NEXT Committee partnered with Cheeriodicals to provide some much needed happiness to sick children in need at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Mono Machine's President Kris Colt had the opportunity to participate in this very special outreach program firsthand. What's a Cheeriodical? Cheeriodicals are big green boxes of cheer that are assembled by teams. Eight of the bright green boxes are placed in the center of a table along with magazines, age appropriate toys and other goodies, and the group gathers around and assembles the boxes together. It's a fantastic opportunity for team building! "We paid special attention to how the items were arranged inside the boxes." says Kris. "Our goal was to create boxes that looked great inside." There were between 60-70 volunteers for this year's Cheeriodical event, and boxes were created for children ranging from 3-16 years of age. Once the boxes were assembled with love and care, a small group of individuals got to make the rounds at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. One of them was Kris. Watching kids, many of whom were sick and hurting, light up with excitement over the boxes was an unforgettable experience.
