Monsoon: Portland's Monsoon has a new high-profile owner, CEO

Monsoon Inc., an e-commerce software maker with roots in Portland's iconic Powell's Books, has been acquired by former Jive Inc. CEO Dave Hersh. Monsoon makes software for e-retailers to manage inventory, orders and fulfillment across many different selling channels such as Amazon or eBay. The company has 18 employees and is based downtown.
