Use this step-by-step repair guide to help you replace the LIP1359 battery in your Sony PS3 Dualshock 3 Controller.Necessary Replacement Parts:LIP1359 Battery Pack for Sony PS3 Dualshock 3 ControllerNecessary Replacement Tools:Plastic Opening ToolsPrecision #00 Phillips ScrewdriverNote: Above tools are included for FREE when this replacement battery is purchased from mpfproducts.com.Step 1Using the #00 screwdriver, remove the five (5) Philips screws from back of the controller.Step 2Carefully push the center of the rear cover (between the two analog sticks) and slightly lift up on the lower edge to move it away from the rest of the controller. Some controllers have plastic clips, please check to be sure you do not force clips if present as they may break.Step 3 Push the rear cover toward the top of the controller be sure to clear the edge of of the #2 trigger buttons.Carefully pull the rear cover away from the controller, being careful to not pop off the #2 trigger buttons.Step 4Lift the battery off the circuitboard so you can access the battery connector. The battery should be able to be simply disconnected at this point.
