My Reading Tutor Blog National Etiquette Week

Welcome back to My Reading Tutor! It's National Etiquette Week, May 11-15, 2015. In honor of this special week near and dear to my heart, I will giving you, my valued reader, a gift. Each day this week, I will post about a new Etiquette tip. Today is also "National Eat Whatever You Want Day," so I decided to start with my guilty pleasure - bread (Canoe Restaurant, anyone?)No matter what kind it is, cornbread, biscuits (a particular weakness), garlic bread or pita, bread is my guilty pleasure. I simply refuse to have a spaghetti dinner without garlic bread, and I mean garlic bread. Breakfast is always better with a biscuit, and chili tastes even better with cornbread. Today's Etiquette Tip: When you are enjoying a meal that includes bread, the bread belongs on your bread plate with the butter (and butter knife if you're lucky). To properly eat bread, break off a small bite-size piece, dab a bit of butter if you like, and pop it in your mouth. Putting the whole dinner roll in your mouth at once, is something you would never do, right??? Good, you're paying attention. What will tomorrow's tip be? Visit on Tuesday to find out. See you then!
