Navy Recruiting Command: Navy hires two companies for potential $1.7 billion job to install C4ISR gear aboard ships

SAN DIEGO, 14 Aug. 2015. U.S. Navy intelligence and communications experts are spending as much as $1.7 billion to install and certify electronics equipment aboard Navy surface ships, submarines and shore sites that handles command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR).Officials of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in San Diego announced two industry contracts Thursday for C4ISR equipment and installation -- one contract to Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc., Columbia, Md., and the other to M.C. Dean Inc. in Sterling, Va.
