New Leaf Naturals Llc Store Blog Making Bubble Bombs: a day in the life of a maker

I'm in the midst of making our Moisturizing Bubble Bombs. Lots of Bubble Bombs. As in, the shelves and folding tables are full, so I've appropriated the dining table as well, and we will be eating off our laps for the next few days. I have a very patient family.Anyway, as I was mixing up the most recent batch, it occurred to me that some of you might like to see a bit of the process. I wish you could smell it too, but since they still haven't invented Smell-O-Vision, you'll have to make do with some photos. You can trust me though - it smells a-maz-ing in here!On to the making!First thing we have to do is weigh up the ingredients.I love all the different colors and textures!Adding some plant powder. Amazing skin benefits and a nice green colorant - this is for our Peppermint Latte bubble bomb.Once all the dry ingredients are weighed and mixed, we add the cocoa butter. No, cocoa butter is not normally green. We infuse the butter with mint tea, rooibos tea, and algae powder - all the better for your skin, my dear!Mix it all up - the process is similar to making pasta dough. It's important to make sure you get it thoroughly combined. You don't want to run into any dry spots when you're shaping. All shaped and set aside to finish hardening. And that's it! In a few days we'll package them up, all nestled in a pretty box with a bow.(this is our Pumpkin Chai Latte scent)Ok...maybe we won't package them ALL up. I might need to take a bath.
