Nielsen Social: The Walking Dead tops Nielsen Social's most-tweeted series list for third straight year

Nielsen Social has released its list of the most social series, sporting events, and special events of 2015 and the results are much of the same: Americans love to tweet about football and The Walking Dead.If audiences aren't watching (and tweeting about) The Walking Dead during the show's first airing, they're definitely catching up within seven days. The Walking Dead was also the top time-shifted program of 2015 ranked by absolute difference in viewers: viewership increased by 10.9 million from the live audience with time-shifted viewing. While CBS may be the most-watched network, ABC is the network with the most series driving social buzz: four of the top 10 most tweeted series (five if you include ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars) were ABC shows: The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Scandal, and Grey's Anatomy. But the Oscar for the most-tweeted special of the year goes to: The 57th Annual Grammy Awards. Well, that's awkward... The Grammys with a total unique audience of 13.32 million topped the Oscars, which had a total unique audience of 13.02 million (The Grammys also had nearly triple the tweet volume). And of course, there's Super Bowl XLIX, which was the most-watched telecast of the year with 115 million people tuning in. It was also the most-tweeted telecast of the year, drawing a unique audience of 16.1 million and driving 25 million tweets.Below, the full list from Nielsen: Loading...
