Sling TV is an inexpensive replacement for cable or pay-TV subscriptions with comparable service. It’s a cordcutting favorite because it includes access to live TV at a reasonable price. The popular service announced a price increase this month but remains under $50/month with no long-term contract or hidden fees.
Price increase offsets new features
Sling’s basic packages already include live TV, more than 126,000 on-demand titles, and an optional cloud-based DVR. The company announced the increase comes with more channels, movies, and free cloud-based DVR service. Additions include MSNBC, HLN, FXX, FXM, Nat Geo Wild, the Longhorn Network, Big Ten Network, and ACC Network.
New prices are still under $50
Sling offers two base-level packages; Orange and Blue. Each package has a unique channel lineup. The price increase raised each from $25 to $30 per month. Viewers can select both Orange + Blue for a discounted rate of $45/month....
