Wearing a mask Wearing a face mask helps contain any potentially infectious respiratory droplets that may be released while breathing, talking or coughing, especially when social distancing is more challenging and even if the person doesn't yet know they're sick. Always ensure that your children have at least one extra face mask in their school bags and also wear a face mask before leaving for school. Iii. Hand Washing Washing your hands limits the risk of getting sick by touching a contaminated surface and then spreading the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth if you touch your face. Parents and teachers should always remind children to wash their hands regularly. You can also include a hand sanitizer in their school bags for them to use in the absence of soap and water.
