YORK, Pa. (WHTM) - A new Once Upon a Child store will open in York County later this week. Subscribe Now Local Business Beat The new store will be owned and operated by Kehinde Adeniyi, a local immigrant from Nigeria who now resides in York County. Adeniyi brings years of experience in human development and family studies and a Master's Degree in social work. "When I think of clothing my children in an affordable way, in styles and brands that make sense, it has always been important to not break the bank, which is where Once Upon a Child comes in," Adeniyi said. "As a mom of three myself, I understand how expensive it is to raise children today and want to offer an affordable option for local families because it can make a positive impact." Once Upon a Child says the new location will offer a variety of affordable, gently used children's clothes, shoes, toys, equipment, and more. Starting on opening day, the new store will offer a variety of deals and fun events for guests to enjoy: All Day - Thursday, October 24 - Sunday, October 27: All weekend, anyone who spends $50 will receive a $10 gift card or coupon, as well as free book for every purchase (while supplies last). Thursday, October 24: First 25 customers will get a $25 gift card or coupon. There will also be a character visit from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and guests can enter a contest for a chance to win a WOW item (WOW item examples include: Power Wheels car, large ride-on toys, new toy of the season) Friday, October 25: For guests that spend more than $50 in-store, they will receive a free One Upon a Child tote.
